Maximiliano Magnano is born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1989.
He grew up in a town called Pilar. At the age of 25 he took up photography as a hobby, before that he wasn’t really interested in visual culture. He bought a digital camera and started taking basic technical lessons. Since then, photography has become his main interest and an ongoing project.
I think photography can be very nostalgic. It usually deals with past lives, with a world that is always about to be gone. I try to work with this feeling through my pictures by insisting on the absence of human subjects on everyday settings. I shoot 35mm film, mostly in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
