Alisa O’Connor is a photographer and photo editor originally hailing from southern Illinois. Now based in New York, she has worked extensively as a photo editor in music, travel, and advertising publications. She received her BA from the University of Notre Dame and her MA from Goldsmiths in London, both in Photography. Her work has been exhibited in group shows in New York and London. With a focus on scenes that are at once ordinary and unfamiliar, her work explores the question of what is “other”.
Strange Landscapes
Taken across Andalusia, the so-called English Riviera, the American Southwest, and Cuba, these scenes are a study in what is both ordinary yet quietly alien.
