Grayson Burke

Grayson is a senior at Rhodes College, currently living and working in Memphis, Tennessee. He goes back and forth often between here and his hometown in Old Hickory, which is a suburb outside of Nashville. His work lies somewhere between documentary and surrealist photography, in the sense that strange, unshakeable feelings and ideas can arise from things around us. He focuses on how our environment can influence us, and how our view of the environment depends on our current state and the state of the world at large.

Some News

Some News is a product of our current epoch when it seems like strong ideas have been injected into everything around us. Sometimes, it feels as if the world shouts at us, whether it is through a natural development or something someone manufactured. In examining this noise, we find dread, humor, empathy, and light.
