Sosie Almasian

Sosie Almasian is currently a senior in the photography program at Savannah College of Art and Design. Before attending SCAD, she began her photography education at Tisch School for the Arts at New York University. After she graduates, she will be based in New York City to continue to freelance and pursue her art. Sosie’s photography style has been evolving and shifting rapidly during the age of COVID-19, as she has now shifted to mainly colorscapes and abstract work.

Crush

The flow of the drip sinks and pulls with confusing gravity. I am considering the primordial ooze from which we all came. Chemicals and temperatures that made delicate but resilient life. This period of prolonged isolation is a reminder of this. When you close your eyes and you can see the static and patterns form and dance, this is what it feels like. Silent and fleeting movement.
