Ashley Bohm has been an avid photographer since first being introduced to the darkroom in high school. She did a short stint at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, D.C. before taking a long hiatus from both school and photography. Eventually, the unescapable draw of the medium caught back up to her and she enrolled in community college with the goal of transferring to a university to give studying photography another shot. Originally interested in pursuing a career in photojournalism, Ashley has in recent years begun to gravitate more towards art photography, though her preoccupation with subjects focusing on human idiosyncrasy often tend towards the journalistic in nature. Ashley currently lives, works, and studies in San Diego, California.
Selected Works, 2020
Presented for your consideration are 20 of what I feel to be my strongest images taken throughout 2020. The images were not taken as a part of any particular intended project or series, but were rather taken randomly during my travels to various places throughout the year.
